About Us

Gabrielle Seto

For me, baking started as a hobby. I started making cakes after my first daughter was born. I was on maternity leave during the pandemic and felt so isolated. I found that I needed a hobby and I’ve always enjoyed baking, so I decided to start making cakes for my family members for special occasions. I discovered that I had a great passion for making cakes and loved to help people celebrate life’s most beautiful moments. I love trying out new techniques and flavors, but my favorite part about making cakes is making them specific to the person we were celebrating, using their favorite flavors, colors and designs.

I have many hobbies; crafting, painting, photography, and have had my own craft shop for many years. I have done many farmers markets selling my crafts and artwork all around the HRM and beyond. When I had my first child, I felt the desire to model for him what it means to pursue your passions and follow your dreams. When Gabbie brought up this cake bar idea to me casually, saying, “hey, we should start a business together, as sisters” without any hesitation or further questions I responded “absolutely, let’s do it”. So, with Gabbie’s experience in baking and my experience with markets we decided to start up Sincerely Yours Custom Cake Bar.
